Eddie Jones to return to Twickenham with Barbarians

On May 28, Eddie Jones, a former England coach, will lead the Barbarians against a World XV at Twickenham.
England fired Jones, 62, earlier this month due to his poor performance.
Jones expressed his excitement at going back to Twickenham Stadium, a place of which he has many pleasant memories.
I’m more eager than ever to put up a performance.
Steve Hansen, a former New Zealand coach who Jones and England defeated in the 2019 World Cup semifinals, will be in charge of the World XV.
Going up against Steve reignites a fierce rivalry that began when we were playing in Super Rugby and developed into the international stage, said Jones.

It will be a fantastic challenge, one that I’m sure we both look forward to.
Since leaving England, Jones has been linked with a move back to his native Australia and a position with the United States national team, and a number of players, including Owen Farrell and Anthony Watson, have expressed disappointment at his departure.
Jones has the best overall victory % of any England men’s coach in history, despite a recent drop in performance, but the Rugby Football Union has yet to name a replacement.
Jones’ former forwards coach at England and Japan, Steve Borthwick, is set to take over as head coach of Leicester.

In November, the Barbarians defeated an All Blacks XV at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before taking against Northampton, Bath, and Harlequins on weekends when Wasps and Worcester were not in action.
