Ingredients

250 g of beef, ground

1 little onion (s)

some oil

1 egg(s)

4 tbsp cream cheese

1 tablespoon of chopped chives

2 tbsp. of breadcrumbs

One teaspoon of hot, strained paprika powder

Six fried ham slices

To make the sauce:

2 tbsp. of butter

2 tablespoons of flour

300ml milk

100 g of grated cheese (e.g. Emmental)

Salt

from the grinder, pepper.

1 dash of nutmeg.

Preparation

Peel and carefully chop the onion for the filling before quickly sautéing it in a little oil with the minced pork. Stir in the egg, chives, breadcrumbs, and 2 tablespoons of cream cheese after allowing to cool slightly. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika powder.

The ham slices should be filled, rolled up, and placed in a casserole dish.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan, whisk in the flour, then add the milk to deglaze the pan to make the sauce. Turn off the heat and mix the sauce until it slightly thickens (you may need to add a little more milk). heavily season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Pour the sauce over the ham rolls after incorporating the remaining 2 tbsp cream cheese and 50g grated cheese. Season to taste. Add the remaining cheese and bake for about 30 minutes at 180 °C.

This goes excellent with potato or pumpkin pancakes, potato wedges, or just a baguette and salad.
