Strong, sweet, and cooling, Vietnamese iced coffee is well-known for these qualities. Fortunately, you don’t need to travel to Vietnam (or your preferred coffee shop) to take advantage of it. Making it at home is really simple and only requires a few basic components. You can utilise a coffee brewing device that you already own, or you can get a Vietnamese coffee press. While pour-over, French press, and Chemex coffee makers are also acceptable for use with this instruction, we’re utilising a drip coffee maker. If you want your coffee to truly taste rich, chocolatey, and authentic,

make sure to purchase Vietnamese ground coffee.

Ingredients

•Vietnamese ground coffee, two to three teaspoons,

•Dark roast coffee

•8 oz. of cold, filtered water

•Sweetened condensed milk, one to two spoonfuls (to taste)

•Half a cup of ice (or coffee ice cubes)

Equipment

Vietnamese phin

A glass drip coffee maker, preferably with cold coffee settings.

Steps

1.Setup your glass

In the glass you will be sipping your iced coffee from, place the half cup of ice. If you can, put this right next to the pour spout. Put the glass away for later if you’re using a carafe in its place.

2. Configure your brewer.

Fill your coffee filter with two to three tablespoons of the Vietnamese ground coffee. Simply add more while maintaining the ratio of eight ounces of water to every two to three tablespoons of coffee if you wish to make more than one serving.

3.Start brewing

If your machine has a setting for iced coffee, choose it and start the brewing process! If not, prepare a cup of coffee as usual and pour it directly over the ice. The glass should be taken out from under the drip spout after it has finished brewing.

4.Add sweetened condensed milk

Over the coffee and ice, pour a teaspoon of the sweetened condensed milk. If you want it sweeter, add one more spoonful. Stir well, then indulge!
