What is a Black Eye Coffee?
A black eye is a cup of coffee that has had two extra shots of espresso added to it. As you can expect, it’s a potent cup of coffee, which is where the name originates. A red eye is a cup of coffee that has been made with one shot of espresso. It’s ideal for a hard night of studying that can leave you with red eyes or an insomniac red-eye flight. A black eye is just as enlightening as a punch to the face because it contains much more caffeine.

•The espresso maker (or stovetop espresso maker)
•Cup of coffee Spoon
INGREDIENTS
•Medium-sized coffee beans, 1/2 ounce
•10 ounces of filtered water and 1 ounce of finely ground coffee
•Sugar and milk are optional.
STEPS
1.Brew 8 ounces of coffee in your coffee maker. Use 8 ounces of filtered water and medium-ground coffee beans.
2.Take two espresso shots. Use 1 ounce of finely ground coffee and 2 ounces of water in your espresso maker (or Moka pot).
3.Coffee and espresso should be combined to make a robust beverage. You can also mellow the flavour if you’d like by adding milk, half-and-half, or sugar.

Making black eye coffee is not difficult at all! All you need to do is combine coffee and espresso in the proper proportions if you know how to manufacture both. But in order to make your black eye as tasty as possible, here are a few brewing suggestions.
Can you brew it in a different way?
Any brewing technique is acceptable for making coffee. This includes reheated cold brew, French press, pour-over, drip machines, etc. However, an espresso maker is required; else, it would just be a strong cup of coffee. If you don’t already own a full espresso machine, we can suggest some reasonably priced and user-friendly alternatives. A basic stovetop Moka pot or a travel-sized espresso maker are also options.
